TYWI has held online summer programs since 2020. This will be our 5th summer camp. Our programs have helped over 600 young writers, and is completely open to all writers within our age ranges. This program is completely pay-what-you-can donation-based, with ample waivers to ensure access to our programs remain completely accessible for all young writers.

Apply What is Summer Workshop about?
Summer Workshop is designed for more mature writers aged 18 and above. Modeled after MFA programs, our virtual Summer Workshop participants will be put in a group of fellow writers who will help provide one another with feedback and foster a community of accountability that will help writers meet their summer goals.
This program will require writers to bring forward two pieces of writing that they desire to be workshopped by their small workshop cohort. At the end of the program, writers will leave with two polished pieces or a critiqued-full piece, techniques to improve their craft, ideas for future works, and life-long friends.

TYWI's summer camp program has been a godsend. It's provided me with an awesome community of young and committed writers as well as helped to jumpstart me getting my writing out into the world for absolutely free. TYWI's Summer Camp is a wonderful program for many young writers such as myself! I had never joined a writing camp, but because of how accessible this camp was, I said to myself, why not? I immediately felt welcomed and was very impressed by how many people had also decided to join. From the past weeks I have been in this camp, I've learned so many things and have seen much improvement in my writing through the challenges and feedback. Everyone here is so nice and it's great to be surrounded by other writers who are so supportive of each other! I'm so glad that I decided to join the camp. Thank you TYWI for this opportunity!
This summer camp has been absolutely incredible. It utilizes the internet and connections to both challenge, and encourage the growth of young writers. There aren't many easily accessed programs for young writers, and this is not only online, but it is also free. I have found myself growing exponentially in the past couple weeks, and I cannot wait to look back at my growth when all is said and done. I can't imagine how much more I will grow. It has also been a lot of fun to form relationships, grow confidence in my writing, and have a place for feedback. I think that is supper essential for writers of any age. Thank you so much
