Creative Interns | Rolling Review | Close June 30th
As part of the TYWI Creative team, you’ll be leading one of TYWI’s most important departments...Creative! Our creative department defines how TYWI appears to the world via our content, brand, and positioning. As a creative intern, you’ll learn what it’s like to manage creative output from start to finish. You take an idea for an article or piece of content, create the materials, ranging from graphic design to video content, and will see it posted on our Substack, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
What are we looking for in creative interns?
We are looking for candidates who:
You’re passionate: TYWI is made of people who have crazy ideas and the drive and passion to make them happen. Being part of TYWI means you can make a real impact and ownership, so we are looking for people who take that seriously!
Communication: You’re a dependable member and communicate when things don’t go as planned (this is a volunteer opportunity, so we’re very understanding, just let us know!). No ghosts allowed here!
You’re proactive: You’re always thinking about opportunities to improve their organization and are not afraid to share your ideas.
- You’re engaged: TYWI is a community that thrives off of passionate people who want to level the playing field for young writers across the globe. Being engaged and active is how we make that happen.
- Problem-Solver: You don’t think about the world in terms of problems, but rather, solutions (or are open to exercising that mindset).
- Learner’s Mindset: You may not know everything yet and need to learn! If you aren’t afraid to take gentle feedback and pivot, TYWI is a great place for you to learn real-life skills, and give feedback to your teammates too!

- Must be able to download Discord (on mobile)
- July 1st, 2026–December 31st, 2026 (with possibility to be extended to a full-team position)

- This is a learning opportunity! We are looking for people who are interested in learning and are passionate.
- Can make a weekly meeting
- You don’t use AI to write: We want your writing, not chatbots!

What are the benefits of being a Volunteer?
Volunteers are essential to TYWI’s mission. In addition to the opportunity to join a global community empowering young authors, you are able to earn volunteer hours, gain exclusive access to volunteer-only events, and unlock certain perks when submitting your own work to TYWI services. In order to keep TYWI’s services free, all positions are volunteer based and do not involve monetary compensation.
What commitment is required?
Volunteers are expected to complete at least one end-to-end creative piece with an article, graphic, and video a week. They are also expected to give peer feedback to other peers that week and converse with the TYWI team. 5-6 hours depending on how long that will take you!
What are the steps to becoming a volunteer?
Apply asap! We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis and may fill spots before closing! We officially close July 30th. After application, we will reach out to you for interviews!
